How to Send Us Your Photo or Paw Print and Get the Best Result

Every personalised order we make starts with an image from you, whether that's a photo of a pet, a photo of a person, or an ink paw print. The quality of what you send us has a direct impact on the finished product, so we've put together this guide to help you get it right first time.

It doesn't need to be perfect. But a few simple things make a big difference.

How to Send Your Image

Once you've added your product to your basket, you can upload your image directly on the product page before checking out. Simply use the upload button, attach your file, and it will come through to us with your order automatically, no emails needed.

We'll check your image once your order comes through and let you know if there are any issues before we get started.

Sending a Photo of a Person or Pet

Whether you're sending a photo of a beloved pet or a person you want to remember, the same principles apply. A good photo makes all the difference to how your keepsake turns out.

Do:

  • Use a photo where the subject's face is clearly visible and in focus
  • Choose a well-lit image, natural daylight is ideal
  • Pick a photo where the background isn't too busy or distracting
  • Send the original file from your phone or camera, not a screenshot or a photo of a photo
  • Send the highest resolution version you have, the larger the file, the better

Try to avoid:

  • Blurry or out-of-focus images
  • Photos taken in low light or with a strong flash
  • Heavy filters or edits applied to the image
  • Screenshots from social media, these are compressed and lose quality
  • Images where the subject is partially obscured, looking away, or mid-movement

If the only photos you have aren't ideal, send them anyway and we'll let you know honestly whether they'll work. We'd rather have that conversation upfront than deliver something you're not happy with.

Sending a Paw Print

If you're sending an ink paw print, either taken at home or provided by your vet or crematorium, here's how to photograph it so we can work with it properly:

Do:

  • Lay the print flat on a surface and photograph it from directly above
  • Make sure the whole print is in the frame with a little space around the edges
  • Use natural daylight where possible, avoid shooting under artificial lighting if you can
  • Keep the camera steady, even slight movement can blur the detail in the print
  • Send the original photo file, not a screenshot

Try to avoid:

  • Shadows falling across the print, move to a brighter spot if needed
  • Flash photography, which can wash out the detail
  • Photographing at an angle, shoot straight down for the clearest result

Most paw prints have some imperfection in them, a smudge here, a gap there, and that's completely normal. We're experienced at working with prints that aren't pristine. Just send us what you have.

What Happens After You Send It

Once we receive your image, we'll check it over and confirm we're happy to proceed. If there's anything we're unsure about, or if we think a different photo might give you a better result, we'll get in touch before we start making anything.

We won't just press ahead with a poor image and hope for the best. Your keepsake matters too much for that.

Still Not Sure?

If you're not confident about the photos you have, feel free to get in touch before you place your order. We're happy to take a look and advise you on whether they'll work, no obligation, no fuss.
